FAQ

What is the difficulty level of the trekking?
The tour is rated Moderate. All three waterfalls require descending and ascending many steep stairs and walking on slippery, uneven, and wet terrain. A good level of fitness is necessary.
Can I swim at all three waterfalls?
No. Swimming is generally prohibited at Tegenungan due to strong currents. You can usually swim at Tibumana and wade through the water at Tukad Cepung, but always follow your guide’s instructions on-site.
What kind of shoes should I wear?
Water shoes or sneakers with an aggressive grip are the best choice. Flip-flops or loose sandals are NOT recommended as the paths are very wet and slippery.
What should I bring in my bag?
Bring a swimsuit, towel, a change of clothes, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and a small amount of cash for any extra fees or snacks. A waterproof bag/case for your electronics is highly advised.
Is this tour suitable for younger children?
This tour can be challenging for young children, especially those under 7, due to the steep steps and slippery conditions. Adult supervision is required at all times.
What is the best time to see the sun rays at Tukad Cepung?
The magical sun rays are best seen between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on a clear, sunny day. We structure the itinerary to try and reach this spot during the optimal window.
What happens if it rains heavily during the tour?
In heavy rain, water levels can rise quickly, and the paths become extremely slippery. For your safety, the guide may decide to skip a waterfall if conditions are deemed hazardous (e.g., strong currents or high risk of flash floods)
Is the entrance fee (tickets) included in the tour price?
Yes, the tour price includes all entrance fees/tickets to the three waterfalls (Tibumana, Tukad Cepung, and Tegenungan). There are no hidden access fees for the destinations.
How long does the transfer from the hotel take?
Transfer duration depends heavily on your hotel location. If you are staying in the Ubud area, it usually takes 30-45 minutes. From Kuta/Seminyak/Canggu, transfers can take 1.5–2 hours, depending on morning traffic conditions.
Are changing rooms and restrooms available?
Yes, all three waterfall locations are well-managed and provide simple restrooms and changing rooms. We recommend bringing your own dry change of clothes.
Are there places to buy food or drinks near the waterfalls?
Yes, there are small stalls and cafes near the parking and entrance areas of Tukad Cepung and Tegenungan. You can easily buy drinking water, coffee, or light snacks.
Is this a private or a shared group tour?
This is a private tour. The vehicle and guide are exclusively provided for your group, allowing for flexible timing and pace of travel.
